1920s M. O. Minges moved from the western part of NC to Greenville, with his wife and 6 children.

1923 M. O. Minges opened “The Orange Crush Bottling Company” in Greenville, NC

1935 Mr. Minges purchased the rights to sell Pepsi-Cola in 13 surrounding counties in Eastern North Carolina.  This included Craven County, where Pepsi-Cola was born in New Bern.

1955 The company was formed into 3 separate franchises: Greenville, Kinston, and New Bern.  Each franchise was run by 2nd Generation Minges family members; Forrest Minges in New Bern, Hoyt Minges in Kinston and John F Minges in Greenville.

2001 The 3 companies were merged as one, reflecting the original franchise.  The company is headed by 2 3rd Generation family members, Jeff Minges, President / CEO and Tom Minges, CFO / Chairman

2002 Minges Bottling Group moved into our current location on Hwy 11 South in Ayden, NC

2004 Miles Minges, 4th Generation member, joins as full time employee, serving in our Business Development department.

2004 Began selling Minges Select Coffee and Tea.

2006 Started our own transport company as a subsidiary of MBG, Beverage Transports, LLC.  Beverage Transports is based in Cheraw, SC and hauls drinks for us, as well as other customers.

2006 Began a full-line vending company, Select Vending, LLC which was based in New Bern.

2008 Expanded the vending company to include food service and cafeterias.  Changed name to Select Food Service.  Move that company to Kinston, NC. 

2011 In June, we suffered the unfortunate passing of Thomas E. Minges, former Chairman and CFO of Minges Bottling Group.
